“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet saying” (v.10). “The Lord’s day” here signifies the first day of the week. It is not “the day of the Lord”

since the latter points especially to the day of judgment. John saw the vision on the Lord’s day—the first day of the week—and not in the day of the Lord’s judgment.

Now John heard in the spirit a great voice behind him. The spirit in man provides us with God-consciousness.
